Casualties rise after Russian missile strike on Ukraine's Vasyshcheve, rescuers among wounded

The number of people injured in the missile strike on Vasyshcheve, Kharkiv region, has risen to eight. Among the wounded are rescue workers, according to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
According to law enforcement officials, on July 30 at approximately 12:00 p.m., Russian forces launched a missile strike on the village of Vasyshcheve in the Kharkiv district.
The strike hit a distribution center that included three facilities, one of which was a grocery supermarket. A large fire broke out.
As a result of the attack, a security guard was killed. Five others - three men and two women - sustained injuries.
In addition, three employees of the State Emergency Service were injured while responding to the fire.
Preliminary reports indicate that the enemy used two S-300/S-400 missiles to target the settlement.
Under the procedural guidance of the Kharkiv District Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into a war crime that resulted in the death of a person (Part 2, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Attack on Vasyshcheve
On the afternoon of July 30, the village of Vasyshcheve in the Kharkiv district was struck by Russian forces. A civilian enterprise came under fire, a massive fire broke out, and one person was killed.
According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, the strike hit an industrial site with a total area of 30,000 square meters.
The fire engulfed approximately 20,000 square meters of warehouse space where only civilian goods were stored, including food products. Due to flammable materials, the fire spread rapidly.
Emergency workers from the State Emergency Service (DSNS) managed to contain the fire. During the operation, two firefighters were injured: one suffered from carbon monoxide poisoning and heat stroke, while the other sustained burns.
It was later confirmed that Russian forces used two S-400 surface-to-air missiles in the strike on Vasyshcheve. The Russian army targeted a food warehouse.
