On Wednesday, July 30, Russian forces struck Vasyshcheve in the Kharkiv region with two S-400 surface-to-air missiles. They hit a food warehouse, according to Serhii Bolvinov, Head of the Investigative Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kharkiv region.

"These were two S-400 missiles — Vasyshcheve came under attack. The Russians targeted a food warehouse; a 63-year-old man was killed," Bolvinov reported.

He also stated that five people were injured as a result of the strike. They sustained serious blast injuries, concussions, and glass cuts.

Three men and two women are currently receiving first aid at the hospital. All are local civilians.

"Due to the intense fire following the strike, working at the scene is difficult; we currently have only preliminary findings from the explosives experts. But one thing is already clear: the Russians are once again deliberately targeting concentrations of civilians," Bolvinov added.

Strike on Vasyshcheve

On the afternoon of July 30, the village of Vasyshcheve in the Kharkiv district was hit by a Russian missile strike. A civilian facility was attacked, a large fire broke out, and one person was killed.

According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, the strike hit the territory of an enterprise with a total area of 30,000 square meters.

The fire engulfed warehouse premises covering approximately 20,000 square meters, where only civilian goods were stored, including food products. Due to highly flammable construction materials, the flames spread very rapidly.

Emergency service firefighters localized the fire. During the firefighting operation, two firefighters were injured: one suffered carbon monoxide poisoning and heatstroke, and the other sustained burns.
