NATO countries have begun to strengthen their borders following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Several countries have increased their presence on the eastern flank of the Alliance by deploying additional equipment there.
Recently, NATO countries have conducted a series of large-scale exercises and increased their defense spending.
In November 2023, 15 Canadian Leopard 2 tanks were delivered to Latvia to enhance NATO's deterrent presence in the region.
