In Bulgaria, the pro-Russian party Revival has submitted a draft resolution to parliament calling for the termination of a 10-year security agreement with Ukraine, according to Novinite.

The initiative was announced by MP Petar Petrov, who said the agreement had been concluded without parliamentary approval, raising concerns about its legitimacy and long-term consequences.

According to him, the draft resolution would oblige the Council of Ministers, acting on behalf of the National Assembly, to terminate the agreement signed by a caretaker government.

At the same time, the party submitted another draft resolution to withdraw Bulgaria’s consent to state guarantees worth €1.2 billion linked to the EU mechanism for supporting Ukraine.

Revival argues that the repayment scheme creates financial risks for Bulgaria without clear guarantees of reimbursement.

"We believe that this money should go first and foremost to Bulgarian citizens," Petrov said.

He explained the party’s position by pointing to the country’s economic situation, including inflation, rising prices, and the budget deficit.

The draft resolutions are now expected to go through parliamentary procedures, where lawmakers will debate them as part of the legislative process.

Revival holds only 13 seats in parliament and entered it with a minimal result, making it unlikely that its initiatives will gain majority support.

In the most recent parliamentary elections in Bulgaria, the pro-Russian political force Progressive Bulgaria won, forming a single-party majority with more than 44% of the vote and over 130 seats.
