Budget support from US: Ambassador explains when Ukraine will receive all promised funds
In the fall, Ukraine will receive all the funds that were allocated by the United States this spring, according to a statement by Ukraine's ambassador to the United States, Oksana Markarova.
"$60 billion was allocated (referring to the aid package from the United States approved this spring - ed.), of which $7.9 billion is direct budgetary assistance. Shortly, we will see a significant portion, almost half, transferred to Ukraine's budget," the ambassador explained.
She stated that Ukraine expects to receive the remainder by the end of October, which is the end of the fiscal year.
"That means by the end of October, all the budgetary assistance funds will be received and utilized by Ukraine," she emphasized.
On April 24 of this year, US President Joe Biden signed a bill that provides funding for aid to Ukraine.
