Britain to test drone AI on Ukraine’s Avengers Labs platform

British defense companies will be the first among Ukraine’s international partners to join the Ukrainian Avengers Labs platform. It is designed to train AI models for unmanned systems using real battlefield data, according to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The ministry announced that up to 12 companies from the United Kingdom will soon be able to test and train their own AI models using Avengers Labs.
All data will be stored exclusively in a secure environment, with any possibility of downloading it or transferring it outside the system completely ruled out.
Opening the platform to international partners will make it possible to combine Ukraine’s battlefield experience with the technological capabilities of its allies to jointly develop artificial intelligence for unmanned systems.
More than 30 Ukrainian defense companies are already using the Avengers Labs platform.
In addition, three developments tested in the system are already being successfully used directly on the battlefield.
Ukrainian military personnel continue to actively introduce innovative technologies on the front line.
In particular, soldiers from the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade developed a unique "pouch" drone technology that allows combat robots to be precisely deployed behind enemy lines at distances of dozens of kilometers.
Similar systems were developed in the United States for more than 30 years, but Ukrainian specialists were the first to bring them to actual battlefield use.
At the same time, Ukraine is developing analytical tools for military headquarters.
In particular, the Ministry of Defense’s Artificial Intelligence Center is creating the SPECTR platform to analyze battlefield data and predict the enemy’s actions.
The new system is intended to take over some of the routine work of military headquarters and help select the most effective courses of action.
