On the morning of March 2, a column of black smoke was spotted above the building of the US Embassy in Kuwait after a series of attacks by Iran, The Times of Israel reports.
According to correspondents, smoke was visible after a series of attacks carried out by Iran in the oil-rich Persian Gulf region on Saturday. Before that, air raid sirens sounded in the city.
The US Embassy in Kuwait did not announce an attack, but published a security warning, urging people to stay away.
"There is a continuing threat of missile and UAV attacks over Kuwait. Do not come to the Embassy," the statement says.
The Kuwait Ministry of Interior said it intercepted an unspecified number of drones at dawn aimed at this small, oil-rich country.
No direct hit on a diplomatic facility was officially reported.

Conflict in the Middle East
On February 28, the United States and Israel announced the start of a large-scale military operation against Iran, carrying out hundreds of strikes on strategic targets in the country.
During one of the attacks, aimed at the residence in Tehran, Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed, as well as several high-ranking commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
In response, Tehran launched a massive attack using ballistic missiles and drones against the territory of Israel, as well as against American military facilities and territories of US allied states in the Middle East, including Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates.
