Biden to use all allocated funds for Ukraine aid by January 20 - Blinken
US President Joe Biden will allocate all the funds designated for Ukraine's aid before Donald Trump's inauguration. NATO countries must ensure continued support for Ukraine in 2025, stated US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, according to the Associated Press.
"President Biden has committed to making sure that every dollar we have at our disposal will be pushed out the door between now and January 20," Blinken said.
He also noted that NATO countries need to ensure Ukraine has the funds and ammunition to continue the fight effectively in 2025, or to enable Ukraine to negotiate with Russia from a position of strength.
Blinken, without providing specifics, mentioned that the US would "adapt and adjust" to the latest equipment they are sending.
Announcement of significant aid
Just a few days ago, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha held talks with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. Following the meeting, Sybiha shared that Washington plans to provide substantial aid to Kyiv.
This will include weapons and funding contracts for the production of new military supplies for Ukraine.
Meanwhile, there were rumors in the media that the Biden administration is planning to urgently send Ukraine $6 billion in assistance.
