The administration of current US President Joe Biden plans to deliver a substantial amount of military aid to Ukraine in the final weeks of his term, stated Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.

“We have confirmation regarding military assistance. The current US administration plans to deliver a substantial amount of military aid to Ukraine in the last weeks of its term,” Sybiha said.

The assistance will include, among other things, weapons and funding for contracts to produce new weapons under the support program for Ukraine.

According to the Minister, he discussed this issue in detail today with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Brussels.

“We have a clear picture, clear timelines, and specific volumes of aid that will be delivered to Ukraine by the end of the year,” Sybiha added.

US aid to Ukraine

Recently, media reported that the administration of current US President Joe Biden plans to urgently send the remaining $6 billion to help Ukraine. This is set to occur before the inauguration of Donald Trump, scheduled for January 20, 2025.

According to Politico’s national security reporter Jack Detsch, the White House decided to take this step because, after Trump assumes office, arms shipments to Ukraine may be halted.

Later, the White House confirmed that Joe Biden has committed to spending all the remaining funds for Ukraine’s assistance while he is still President.
