The administration of current US President Joe Biden plans to "urgently" send the remaining $6 billion in aid to Ukraine before Donald Trump's inauguration on January 20, 2025, citing Politico national security reporter Jack Detsch.

"The Biden admin is planning to rush the last $6B remaining in Ukraine security assistance out the door by Inauguration, as the outgoing team prepares for the weapons flow to end once Trump takes office," the journalist wrote on his X account.

US election

The US presidential election was held on Tuesday, November 5. The contenders for the White House were Kamala Harris from the Democratic Party and Donald Trump from the Republican Party.

Trump won the election with 277 electoral votes, a sufficient result to become the US president.
