Beijing responds to report on Russian troops training in China

China has denied reports of secret Russian military training on its territory, calling it an attempt to shift the blame for the war in Ukraine, a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry says in response to a query from Ukrinform.
China’s Foreign Ministry stated that regarding the so-called Ukrainian crisis, the country consistently adheres to an objective and impartial position and is making efforts to facilitate peace talks.
According to a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Beijing’s position is consistent, clear, and enjoys recognition and support within the international community.
"The parties to the conflict must not deliberately escalate confrontation or shift blame onto others," the Chinese Ministry notes.

Yesterday, Reuters reported that China secretly trained about 200 Russian military personnel at its military facilities in Beijing and Nanjing late last year.
Foreign intelligence sources reported that the Chinese drone industry provided the Russians with technological innovations and advanced training methods, including flight simulators. Russia sent high-ranking instructors capable of passing on the knowledge they acquired further up the chain of command.
One of the European intelligence services confirmed that several Russians, ranging in rank from junior sergeant to lieutenant colonel, participated in combat operations in the temporarily occupied Crimea and Zaporizhzhia region after training in China.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz expressed hope that Chinese President Xi Jinping would influence Putin to end the war against Ukraine.
For the first time, the Russian Duma acknowledged that Russia might not be able to sustain a prolonged war. In particular, a deputy from the Communist Party of Russia emphasized the need to end the war as soon as possible due to its impact on the economy.
