Russian leader Vladimir Putin must understand that every time he launches strikes on Ukraine, an equal number of missiles and drones could be sent in response, said Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha during a speech at the Warsaw Security Forum.

"Nothing will work out for Russia, even despite the next provocations, which unfortunately should be expected in the future. We have seen this constantly in Ukraine, starting from 2014 in Crimea," Sybiha said.

He emphasized that joint measures to strengthen security on the path to sustainable peace were discussed at the forum. This included security guarantees for Ukraine and lifting any taboos on the supply and use of American weapons.

"Every time Putin thinks about launching a few hundred more drones and missiles at Ukraine, he must understand that the same or even greater number of missiles and drones will fly back at Russia. This is already partially happening," Sybiha stressed.

He added that achieving parity in Ukraine’s ability to defend against Russian terror is crucial.

"We must finally get rid of illusions about Russia and act decisively," Sybiha concluded.

Weapons in Ukraine

According to the WSJ, US President Donald Trump informed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in New York of the readiness to lift restrictions on long-range strikes against Russia.

Zelenskyy reportedly asked his American counterpart to provide Tomahawk cruise missiles, capable of striking targets 900 to 1,500 miles away.

However, Zelenskyy himself did not confirm making such a request but hinted that many details were included in the proposed $90 billion major arms deal presented to Trump. He noted that the US has received all details from Ukraine regarding its weapons requests.
