A fuel depot in Russia's Rostov region has been attacked by drones once again. The fire, which started after a previous drone strike, has now been burning for six days, citing monitoring groups.

The drone attack on the oil storage facility in Proletarsk occurred around 5:00 AM. There are no reported casualties. Local authorities have yet to comment on the incident. However, residents reported hearing powerful explosions during the night.

Russian firefighters have been working at the site for an extended period, trying to extinguish the flames. It is reported that some of them were injured during the operation. Additionally, Russian priests recently held a prayer service near the oil depot.

Local Telegram channel users have pointed out that a black cloud of smoke has been visible over the city for almost a week. Residents are being urged to keep their windows closed.

About fire at Proletarsk oil depot

On the night of August 18, drones struck the FGKU Kombinat Kavkaz oil depot in Proletarsk, Rostov region.

According to RBC-Ukraine sources, this was an operation carried out by the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate.

Recently, satellite images of the fire in Proletarsk appeared online. According to these images, the smoke is approaching Rostov. Notably, the distance between the two cities is about 150 kilometers.

The satellite images also show that the area affected by the fire at the oil depot continues to grow.

OSINT analysts reported that the fire has already destroyed 14 fuel tanks, partially damaged 4, and left 16 unaffected. The fate of another 44 tanks is unknown as they are covered by thick smoke.

Yesterday, it was reported that another fuel tank at the site had exploded.
