After Russian attacks? Romania allows shooting down 'unknown' drones

Acting President of Romania Ilie Bolojan has expanded the powers of the military. From now on, the armed forces will be allowed to shoot down drones that are illegally present in the country’s airspace, Digi24 reports.
According to media reports, Bolojan signed two laws recently passed by the Romanian parliament.
The first law allows for the destruction of drones that are illegally present in Romania’s airspace. The second regulates the military's involvement in missions and operations within the country during peacetime.
According to the document, drones that illegally cross Romania’s state border and enter its airspace without proper authorization may be destroyed or neutralized if their flight cannot be brought under control by Romanian forces or NATO military units.
'Unknown' drones in Romania
Romania borders Ukraine’s southern frontier. Periodically, after large-scale drone attacks by the Russian Federation on Ukrainian territory, debris from unidentified drones or the drones themselves are found in Romania.
In particular, we reported that fragments of Russian Geran drones were discovered on Romanian territory. These drones were used by Russia to attack Ukrainian port infrastructure in the Odesa region during the night of February 13.
One drone crashed about a kilometer from the Danube River near the border with Ukraine, and its fragments were found roughly 5 kilometers west of the Ukrainian city of Reni.
Another was discovered 500 meters from the Danube's shore and approximately 5 kilometers south of Reni.
We also reported that on the night of March 1, the Russian Federation once again launched a drone attack on Ukraine. After the strike, debris from a Russian drone was found on Romanian territory.
Additionally, on the night of Tuesday, April 29, Romania scrambled aircraft in response to Russian drone attacks targeting Ukraine’s border regions.
