5 new iOS 18.5 features to change your iPhone

Apple is about to officially release its next update for iPhones: iOS 18.5 will launch next week and bring several new features for users, reports 9to5Mac.
Enhancements for Apple’s Mail app
In iOS 18.5, Apple has made two important improvements to the Mail app following the controversial redesign in version 18.2.
"All Mail" inbox view is now available—it appears on the right edge of the screen and allows for easy switching between categories and the full list of emails.
Contact photos in the email list can now be turned on or off directly from the app menu (via the three-dot icon in the top-right corner), not just through the settings.

New Pride wallpaper
Apple rarely adds new system wallpapers, but iOS 18.5 includes a vibrant new Pride-themed wallpaper, in addition to last year's versions. The wallpaper is available in the standard gallery.
Screen Time notifications
The Screen Time feature, designed to monitor device usage and especially useful for parents, has received an update: parents will now get notifications every time a passcode is entered on a child’s device to bypass restrictions.
Apple TV app purchases
Previously, the "Buy with iPhone" feature only worked on Apple TV, but now it is also available on TVs and streaming devices from third-party manufacturers. This means you can subscribe, buy, or rent movies in the Apple TV app and confirm the purchase with your iPhone, quickly and conveniently.

Satellite Features on iPhone 13
Previously, satellite features were available only on iPhone 14 and newer, but iOS 18.5 now makes them accessible to the iPhone 13 lineup (including mini, Pro, and Pro Max). For example, T-Mobile users will be able to use Starlink satellite connectivity in areas with no coverage.
However, Apple-specific features such as Emergency SOS via satellite still require newer hardware and remain unsupported on iPhone 13.
