Apple's new iPhone 16e is not as budget-friendly as the iPhone SE that replaced it, but it is still a great option for users who want to upgrade their device without spending too much, reports 9to5Mac.

Apple usually provides pretty solid support for its devices for several years after their release. However, what has caused controversy is that the basic iPhone 15 and 15 Plus models do not support Apple Intelligence, despite the fact that they were released just a year before AI.
Whatever you think about the current capabilities of Apple Intelligence, future iOS updates will only expand the AI capabilities on the iPhone. And if you buy an iPhone 16e, you'll get all of these features. If you stick with the iPhone 15, you'll still have to wait for them.

The iPhone 16e came out less than 18 months after the iPhone 15, but its chip is as much as two generations more powerful. The iPhone 15 was the last model to retain the classic vibration/mute switch. The same year, the iPhone 15 Pro introduced the Action button to replace this switch, and now it has been added to the iPhone 16e.
The Action button can be customized to perform almost any function, such as
- launching the Camera app
- switch to Focus mode
- start the timer
- activating a shortcut
- use Shazam to identify a song
- activating any control in the Control Center.
Of course, you can still customize the button to switch between "vibration" and "silent" modes if you need to.
