Since the beginning of the day, August 30, there have been 109 combat clashes at the front. Russian invaders continue to assault the positions of Ukrainian defenders, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian shelling

According to the General Staff, today areas around the settlements of Druzhba, Romashkove, Sopich, Kucherivka, Novovasylivka, Pokrovka, Mezenivka, Khrinivka, Luhivka, Slavgorod, Nova Huta, Studenok, Porozok, Klyusy, Tymofiivka, Stara Huta, Rudak, and Chuykivka were affected by enemy artillery and mortar fire.

In addition, the Russian troops carried out airstrikes with bombs on Sumy, Hlukhiv, and Sosnivka.

Situation in the directions

Kharkiv direction: The enemy launched two assaults on our defense lines near Pletenivka and Vovchansk, where one attack is still ongoing. Additionally, the Russian forces carried out two airstrikes with bombs in the areas of Hoptivka and Semenivka.

Kupiansk direction: The enemy conducted 18 offensive actions near Synkivka, Koliskivka, Novoosynove, Lozova, Andriivka, and Stelmakhivka. Currently, six attacks are ongoing.

Lyman direction: The enemy assaulted near Tverdokhlibove, Novoserhiyivka, Druzhelyubivka, Hrekivka, Cherneshchyna, Nevske, and Novosadove 13 times. Ukrainian defenders repelled twelve attacks, with one still ongoing.

Siversk direction: The Defense Forces repelled three attacks by the Russian troops near Viyimka, Ivano-Dariivka, and Verkhnokamyanske. One battle is still ongoing. The situation is under the control of our troops.

Kramatorsk direction: The enemy advanced six times towards Kalynivka, Chasiv Yar, Stupochki, Ivanivske, and Andriivka. Five attacks were halted, and one is ongoing. The Russian army also carried out two airstrikes on Chasiv Yar and Dmytrivka.

Toretsk direction: The invaders attempted ten times to push our units out of their positions near Toretsk and Nelipivka. Nine clashes have ended, with one still ongoing. The aggressor's aviation struck with rockets near Druzhba.

Pokrovsk direction: The Russian forces conducted 36 assault actions in the areas of the settlements of Zelenе Pole, Vozdvizhivka, Hrodivka, Karlivka, Novohrodivka, Marynivka, and Mykhailivka. The Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the Russian forces and have repelled 28 attacks, with eight battles currently ongoing. Enemy losses in this direction are being clarified.

Kurakhove direction: The invaders attacked 14 times near Ukrainsk, Halytsynivka, Heorhiivka, and Kostiantynivka. Ten of the enemy's attempts to advance were repelled, and four are still ongoing.

Vremivka direction: The enemy unsuccessfully assaulted our positions near Vodiane and Vuhledar five times. Additionally, using aviation, the invaders dropped two bombs near Sadove and launched rockets at Yehorivka and Solodke.

Orikhiv direction: The enemy launched an offensive near Robotyne. Ukrainian defenders repelled the attack.

Prydniprovskyi direction: Russia also suffered defeats attacking the positions of our units.

"On other directions, the operational situation remains unchanged," the General Staff added.

Frontline situation and Russian losses

According to the General Staff, there were 215 combat clashes at the front on August 29. The intensity of the fighting increased compared to the previous day.

According to Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi, Ukrainian defenders continue defensive operations on the main operational directions. Fighting of various intensities is taking place along the entire frontline, with the most challenging situation being in the Pokrovsk direction.

Over the past day, the Russia lost 1,200 soldiers, 3 tanks, 23 armored fighting vehicles, an air defense system, 23 artillery systems, and other equipment at the front.
