As of this morning, all Russian attacks near Pokrovsk were repelled - Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief
Ukrainian defenders are successfully holding the line in the Pokrovsk direction, repelling the latest enemy attacks, reported Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi.
According to him, Ukrainian defenders continue defensive operations on the main operational fronts. Fighting of varying intensity is taking place along almost the entire frontline. The most difficult situation is in the Pokrovsk direction.
"The enemy is attempting to breach the defensive line of our troops. But as of this morning, all attacks have been repelled, and the enemy has not succeeded," Syrskyi noted.
Situation in Pokrovsk
The Russian forces have deployed a large number of their soldiers to capture Pokrovsk. The situation there is difficult, and the enemy is making progress.
Currently, according to the Deepstate map, the Russian troops are located 10 kilometers from the town.
As reported by Sky News, Russian President Vladimir Putin has 10-12 weeks to achieve his objectives in the Pokrovsk direction. After that, the cold weather will come, and the Russian army will not be able to advance.
Military expert Oleksii Hetman commented to the RBC-Ukraine that Ukrainian defenders need to retreat to Pokrovsk to more favorable positions. There, they will be able to hold the line and prevent the Russian troops from entering the town.
