Zaporizhzhia strike injures more than 10, including 2 children

As a result of the Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia, more than ten people have already been injured, including children. Dozens of rescuers were working at the scene, according to Zaporizhzhia regional head Ivan Fedorov and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Fedorov said that according to the latest figures, 13 people were injured in the overnight shelling of Zaporizhzhia, including two children.
"The injured children, aged 4 and 17, are under medical supervision. Sadly, one person, a 41-year-old man, was killed," Fedorov noted, adding that more wounded continue to seek medical help.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the shelling caused large fires: three residential buildings covering 350 square meters, two trucks in a parking lot, and a service station of 600 square meters were set ablaze.
Seventy-eight rescuers and 17 units of equipment were involved in the response. All emergency services were working on site, and the number of victims is still being clarified.
Overnight strike on Zaporizhzhia
On the night of 16 September, Russian forces launched a massive attack with missiles and artillery on Zaporizhzhia.
Private houses, non-residential buildings, and vehicles were destroyed, with windows shattered and facades damaged across the city.
Russian Shahed drones also struck Sumy, leaving parts of the city without electricity.
