Vasylyna is a journalist with many years of experience in print and online media. Specializes in social issues, interviews, reportage, and cultural journalism. Has been part of the RBC-Ukraine team since 2022.
Graduated from the Faculty of Philology at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv with degrees in Persian and Ukrainian Language and Literature. Participated in an educational program at the University of Tehran (2007) and was a recipient of the Lozynsky Foundation scholarship.
Began her professional career as a lecturer in the Ukrainian language and business communication. From 2011, spent over a decade at the Nova Informatsiya publishing house, working as a writer, editor, and department head. Led Health, Garden&Yard, Food, Home, and City sections. Her work has been published in Gazeta po-ukrainsky, the magazine Kraina, and on the website Gazeta.ua. Has experience creating advertising and editorial special projects, preparing print materials, conducting interviews and reportage, and coordinating editorial teams.
Since 2022, she has been covering social and cultural topics at RBC-Ukraine. Writes stories about war heroes, interviews scholars and public figures, and creates human-interest pieces about life in the rear and frontline regions.
Took part in an international press tour to Türkiye (2021) and is the author of translations of contemporary Persian poetry published in the journal Vsesvit.
Interested in history, ethnoculture, Persian literature, and urban studies. Leads research projects on lesser-known places in Ukraine, enjoys travel, mountain hiking, and cycling. Received a commendation for volunteer work from the Mars Aerospace Ukraine charitable foundation (2024).
