Zelenskyy: Witkoff and Kushner didn't come to Kyiv for nothing

Talks between the US special envoys and Ukrainian leadership were substantive and productive, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this during a briefing following meetings with Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

The head of state emphasized the importance of the US officials' visit and said the sides discussed key agenda items in detail.
"You understand that none of this is happening for no reason. We are discussing everything," Zelenskyy emphasized.
He also added that the US special envoys "did not come for nothing," confirming the highly productive nature of the consultations.
Talks with Witkoff and Kushner in Kyiv
As previously reported, Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a separate one-on-one meeting with US special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
Following the talks in Kyiv, Ukraine, the United States, and European countries agreed to continue the dialogue aimed at achieving a just peace, while the format of the next round of consultations is still being worked out.
Also, US special envoy Steve Witkoff said Washington is seeking a diplomatic resolution and stressed that concessions will be inevitable for both sides.
