Zelenskyy visits Ireland: Details of his meetings reported

During his visit to Ireland, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with representatives of University College Dublin, who are helping implement emergency medical care methods on the front lines. He also met with the families of Irish servicemen who gave their lives for Ukraine, according to Zelenskyy’s Telegram channel.
Zelenskyy reported that Irish specialists, together with Ukrainians, launched the UCD Ukraine Trauma Project. Its main goal is to reduce deaths from massive bleeding on the battlefield.
So far, eight training missions have taken place in Ukraine, over 600 relevant specialists have been trained, and an Irish-Ukrainian training team has been established.
“This cooperation has helped save more lives and strengthened the partnership between our countries,” the president said.
Together with First Lady Olena Zelenska, the head of state also met with the families of Irish servicemen who died defending Ukraine.
Soldiers Graham Dale, Robert Digan, and Oleksandr Ryzhuk were posthumously awarded the Order of Courage, 3rd Class.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with representatives of Irish businesses. He noted that Irish companies show a strong and very important interest in cooperation.
“We expect investments that will strengthen our resilience now and contribute to the country’s reconstruction,” he wrote following the meeting.

Regarding his meeting with the Ukrainian community in Ireland, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said it was a good and sincere conversation and truly a special visit - the first visit of a Ukrainian president to Ireland since diplomatic relations were established following the restoration of Ukraine’s independence.

Ukrainian president’s visit to Ireland
As reported by RBC-Ukraine, on the night of December 2, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska arrived in Ireland for the first official visit.
Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin, at a press conference with Zelenskyy, stated that his country is ready to monitor a ceasefire and also support peacekeeping efforts in Ukraine and the EU.
He spoke about continued support for Ukraine if a peace solution is reached, noting that Ireland would be open to monitoring any ceasefire or specific aspects of a peace agreement.
