On the night of December 2, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska arrived in Ireland for their first official visit, Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin reports.

According to the AirNav aviation resource, the Airbus A319 UR-ABA aircraft of the state-owned airline Ukraine Air Enterprise landed at Dublin International Airport at 22:47 local time (00:47 Kyiv time – ed.).

Prime Minister of Ireland Micheál Martin personally greeted the Zelenskyy couple. He published a video from the airport and assured of "unwavering" support for Ukraine, which continues its fight for freedom and democracy.

This visit is Zelenskyy's first official visit to Ireland. A number of meetings are scheduled throughout the day, including a meeting with Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, who is to present the president with a detailed report on negotiations with the American delegation in Florida.

Ukraine–US negotiations

On November 29, the Ukrainian delegation traveled to the United States for further consultations on the peace plan. The negotiations took place on Sunday, November 30.

According to media reports, Washington seeks to coordinate positions with Kyiv on two key points of the peace initiative — primarily concerning territorial issues and security guarantees.

After the meeting, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the parties had made some progress, while emphasizing that the negotiations remain difficult.

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, who heads the Ukrainian delegation, reported to Zelenskyy on the course of the meetings.

According to him, there is noticeable progress toward a just peace, and the positions of Ukraine and the United States have grown closer.

Meanwhile, media reports that US President Donald Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, will travel to Moscow to continue negotiations with the Russian side.

On December 1, Steve Witkoff held a new meeting with Rustem Umerov. They also discussed the results of the previous day's negotiations with Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
