According to Zelenskyy, during his visit, he accepted the first jointly manufactured strike drone and familiarized himself with the production line. A demonstration flight of the drone also took place.

"This is modern Ukrainian technology. Battle-tested. Powered by AI. It will strike, it will scout, it will protect our soldiers," the President says.

It is expected that 10,000 drones manufactured at the plant will be transferred to Ukraine this year to strengthen the Ukrainian army.

Zelenskyy emphasizes that Ukraine has been working for a long time to open joint production lines in Europe, and now the first such plant has started operating in Germany.

By the end of the year, it is planned to open 10 more joint ventures for the production of Ukrainian drones.

"I thank Chancellor Friedrich Merz, the Government of Germany, Minister of Defense Boris Pistorius personally, and the German people," the President says.

Drone production

In December, it became known that Ukrainian drones would be produced on an industrial scale in Europe for the first time as part of the new Build with Ukraine initiative.

The joint German-Ukrainian defense company Quantum Frontline Industries is responsible for the implementation of the project.

The company is to create Europe's first fully automated foreign industrial line for the production of unmanned aerial vehicles for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The production facilities will be located in Germany and will operate according to NATO standards.

Today in Munich, Oleksandr Kamyshin, advisor to the President of Ukraine on strategic issues, revealed the first details about the launch of the plant during the opening ceremony.

Before this, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine was beginning to export drones to Europe.
