Ukraine will not accept agreements made without its participation. Only the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin wants direct negotiations between Russia and the US, states Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his speech at the Munich Security Conference.

"Ukraine will never accept deals made behind our backs without our involvement. And the same rule should apply to all of Europe. No decisions about Ukraine without Ukraine, no decisions about Europe without Europe. Europe must have a seat at the table when decisions about Europe are being made," stated the president.

He added that in the event of an agreement being made without Ukraine and Europe, "we all lose."

The president warned that the head of the Kremlin is currently trying to negotiate with the US without the participation of Ukraine and Europe — just as they did before the war when they met in Switzerland, seemingly preparing to divide the world.

"Next, Putin will try to get the US president standing on the Red Square on May 9 this year, not as a respected leader, but as a prop in his own performance. We dont need that. We need real success. We need real peace," Zelenskyy added.

Ukraine's participation in negotiations

As a reminder, this week US President Donald Trump discussed ending the war in Ukraine with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

Following this, the Financial Times, citing unnamed Ukrainian and Western officials, reported that the American leader and the Russian dictator allegedly want to achieve a ceasefire by Easter (April 20) or by May 9.

However, Trump himself recently assured that Ukraine will have a seat at the negotiation table.
