Ukraine will prepare the peace plan as soon as tomorrow, December 9, after which it will send it to the United States, said President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in response to questions from journalists.

"Today we had a good discussion in London. We left our advisors there — this shows that there is progress on each plan, from the first one to the one we discussed today with the Europeans," Zelenskyy said.

According to him, there is progress toward a possible end to the war.

"The advisors will work on the latest version of the plan brought by Umerov. Advisors from the European side and Ukraine. I think the plan will be ready tomorrow, we’ll review it once more and send it to the US," the President emphasized.

US peace plan

The United States has not yet made public the official content of its peace plan to end Russia's war against Ukraine. However, Western media reports that the initial draft contained 28 points.

According to unofficial information, the draft included tough demands on Ukraine — in particular, that Kyiv would have to give up the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, effectively handing them to Russia without fighting.

The plan also reportedly proposed banning Ukraine from joining NATO, requiring the country to legally adopt a neutral status.

According to Axios, during Saturday's talks with US President Donald Trump's advisors Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, Zelenskyy discussed two key issues — territories and security guarantees. Sources say the first issue is difficult, but there is progress on the second.

On December 2, the Ukrainian leader stressed that security guarantees are one of the three most sensitive topics in talks between Ukrainian and American officials.

Today, December 8, the leaders of Germany, France, and the United Kingdom met Zelenskyy in London and stressed the need for a just and lasting peace.

According to Bloomberg, European leaders are trying to convince Zelenskyy not to agree to a potential deal to withdraw Ukrainian forces from Donbas without reliable US security guarantees.
