Ukraine is ready to make progress regarding the peace plan proposed by the United States to end the war with Russia, states Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the Coalition of the Willing meeting, according to Reuters.
The head of the Ukrainian state noted that he is ready to discuss sensitive points of the peace plan with US President Donald Trump.
The Ukrainian president also urged members of the Coalition of the Willing to develop a framework for deploying "reassurance force" in Ukraine and to continue support until Moscow is ready to end the war.
US peace plan
The US peace plan has already undergone changes since it was first announced.
The adjustments to the plan took place during a meeting between Ukrainian and US officials in Geneva. According to the Financial Times, the plan now includes 19 points instead of 28.
The most important issues are expected to be discussed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump. The exact timing of their meeting is not yet known.
The Ukrainian side has expressed readiness to hold leader-level negotiations by the end of November.
Also, according to the FT, Ukraine has reportedly indicated a willingness to limit the size of its army to 800,000.
Meanwhile, the Russian side continues to engage in blackmail and threatens to reject the new US version of the peace plan.
In particular, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov assured that Moscow will not support the plan if it does not include the "agreements" that were supposedly reached between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Trump during their meeting in Alaska.
