Meeting between Zelenskyy and Trump
The media previously reported that Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy would travel to Davos on Thursday, January 22, for a meeting with US President Donald Trump.
According to journalists, the meeting between the two presidents is scheduled for approximately 12:00. It was emphasized that it should take place before Trump's special envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, travel to Moscow to meet with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
Both meetings will be dedicated to Trump's peace plan for Ukraine.
Yesterday, on January 21, Trump stated that he plans to meet with Zelenskyy on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
Earlier, Zelenskyy said that he would not go to the Davos forum and would remain in Ukraine following another large-scale Russian attack on Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
At the same time, he emphasized the importance of both a prosperity plan and security guarantees, and noted that the trip could take place provided these documents are ready.
