Zelenskyy to meet with Pope Francis
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will meet with Pope Francis. The meeting is scheduled for October 11, according to ANSA.
"Pope Francis will receive the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in an audience on Friday morning at the Vatican," said the press service of the Holy See on Wednesday.
The meeting will take place in the Apostolic Palace of the Vatican at approximately 09:30 local time.
According to Reuters, Zelenskyy will also meet with the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, during his visit to Rome.
Previous meetings between Zelenskyy and the Pope
The previous meeting between Zelenskyy and the Pope took place in Italy on June 14 this year during the G7 summit. At that time, they also discussed the first peace summit, which Ukraine was organizing in Switzerland.
It is already known that Zelenskyy has arrived in Croatia for the third "Ukraine-Southeast Europe" summit. On October 12, Zelenskyy was scheduled to attend the Ramstein meeting, where he was expected to meet with US President Joe Biden. However, due to the storm in the US, Biden postponed his trip to Germany.
In connection with this, the date of the Ramstein meeting has also been changed.
