Zelenskyy to discuss new peace plan with JD Vance today, Axios says

According to him, the information was confirmed by two well-informed sources.

"Ukrainian President Zelenskyy is expected to speak with VP Vance on Friday and discuss the US proposed peace plan," he noted.

According to an RBC-Ukraine source, the phone call with Vance has already taken place. There are no details yet.

New peace plan for Ukraine has intensified diplomacy

As Zelenskyy previously stated, talks have already taken place today with French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

After that, a meeting was held with Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha and Ukraine’s diplomatic team.

"We are working to ensure that Ukraine's national interests are taken into account at every level of our relations with partners. Right now, there are meetings, calls, and work on the points practically every hour – provisions that can change a lot," the President said.

It was also reported that European leaders, who, according to Western media, are preparing an alternative plan, expressed readiness to provide Ukraine with security guarantees. And regarding potential future negotiations with Russia, the starting point for territorial issues must be the current line of contact.

Zelenskyy officially stated that he would not make sharp comments regarding the points of the US peace plan. However, Axios has already published all 28 provisions.

In its current form, the peace plan includes points granting Russia de facto control over all of Donbas. In exchange, Moscow would agree not to attack Ukraine and Europe in the future and to halt its advance in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.

Western media describe most of these points as a capitulation for Ukraine.

It was also reported that Zelenskyy intends to discuss the American plan with President Donald Trump as early as next week.
