If Ukraine receives what it discussed with partners during the G7 summit, conditions will be created that will force Russia to choose peace, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

The head of state stressed that Ukraine’s operation regarding Crimea is "carefully calculated."

"And the way the operation is progressing clearly proves: if Ukraine gets exactly what we discussed with partners within the G7, and this depends on the partners' decision, we will quickly ensure conditions under which Russia will be forced to choose peace," he said.

Zelenskyy emphasized that Kyiv is "highly counting" on a positive response from Ukraine's partners, adding that they "know exactly" what it is about.

A series of explosions was heard in occupied Crimea over the weekend. Afterward, the occupation authorities temporarily closed traffic on the Crimean Bridge, while residents of Kerch reported a fire and thick smoke near the seaport area.

Later, Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that Ukrainian forces struck targets on both sides of the Crimean Bridge. According to him, the hit targets were located approximately 300 kilometers from the front line.

In addition, units of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces conducted a large-scale operation on the occupied peninsula. In a single night alone, more than 60 important Russian military targets were hit.
