Ukrainian forces struck several important targets near the Crimean Bridge and in occupied Crimea, targeting enemy logistics and air defense systems, according to the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to him, the operation was carried out in response to Russian attacks against the Ukrainian population. Units of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Defense Intelligence, and the Special Operations Forces took part in the operation.
The president said the strikes hit military logistics facilities, the oil industry, and the air defense systems at a distance of about 300 km from the front line.
“Facilities on both sides of the Crimean Bridge were hit: maritime logistics used to transport oil in the Krasnodar region and an oil depot in temporarily occupied Kerch,” the president noted.
Successful strikes were also carried out on enemy military logistics facilities, four radar stations that are part of S-400 air defense systems, and two Pantsir systems.
“I am grateful to all our warriors for their precision and professionalism. Russia understands only strength, and our long-range strength is certainly working for peace,” he said.
Details from the General Staff
Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine clarified the results of the overnight attack.
On the night of June 21, the TES-Terminal-1 oil terminal in Kerch was hit. A fire was recorded at the site.
The General Staff noted that the terminal is one of the key centers for transshipment and storage of fuel in Crimea and is used to support the needs of the Russian forces.
The port of Kavkaz in Russia’s Krasnodar region was also hit. According to the military, a fire broke out at the port.
The Kavkaz port is an important logistics hub that provides maritime connections between the Krasnodar region and the temporarily occupied Crimea and supplies Russian forces.
On the night of June 20, Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces carried out a large-scale operation against Russian military and logistics facilities in temporarily occupied territories.
According to SBS commander Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, four gas compressor stations in Crimea, a road bridge across the Henichesk Strait, as well as several fuel and military logistics sites, came under attack.
