Zelenskyy signals next phase of government reshuffle

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked parliamentarians for supporting the new Cabinet of Ministers and announced further changes in the government, the Ukrainian President reports on Telegram.
According to him, the newly appointed government officials must begin fulfilling the assigned tasks today.
"Tomorrow, we will continue with the reformatting of the security sector. On Monday, we will update the corps of Ukrainian diplomacy — together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, we are preparing the relevant changes," Zelenskyy wrote.
He also stated that he has already determined the agenda of the next two meetings of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).
Changes in the government
On July 16, the Verkhovna Rada voted for the resignation of Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and his government. A day earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the need to update the executive branch and proposed appointing Yulia Svyrydenko as Prime Minister, who has held the position of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy since 2021.
Today, the Verkhovna Rada supported the appointment of Svyrydenko as prime minister, and MPs have already voted for the appointment of a number of ministers.
In particular, Denys Shmyhal now heads the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, and Andrii Sybiha has again become the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
