Zelenskyy says Kyiv to supply select drones to US

Ukraine is ready to export its domestically produced drones, and the United States will receive certain types of these unmanned systems, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during a briefing following his meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukrainian and American teams will work together on drone-related initiatives, emphasizing Ukraine’s openness to collaboration and export.
"Ukraine’s delegation was already in Washington. We are open to discussions. I believe the US will receive certain types of drones," he said during a press briefing after he met with President Donald Trump.
US to buy Ukrainian drones
Trump, for his part, confirmed Washington’s strong interest in purchasing Ukrainian-made drones, praising their quality and efficiency. "We are interested in Ukrainian drones. They make very good drones, and we’d like to buy them," Trump stated earlier at the White House.
Reports indicate that the United States has been exploring the procurement of Ukrainian drones for several months. In September, both countries held talks on arms purchases and joint drone programs. On October 2, a Ukrainian delegation from the National Security and Defense Council and the Ministry of Defense visited the US to discuss upcoming drone contracts and broader defense cooperation.
Ukraine also presented its advancements in aerial, maritime, and ground-based unmanned systems, technologies that drew strong interest from American partners. Kyiv is now preparing to sign a technology transfer agreement with the US for drones that have been "battle-tested" in Ukraine’s defense operations.
