President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced a full report from the Ukrainian delegation on the negotiations in Geneva regarding the plan to end the war.
“Our delegation is now returning home, and I am expecting a full report this evening on the progress of the talks in Geneva and the principal emphases of our partners,” Zelenskyy said.
The reports will be used to determine the next steps and timing of coordinated actions with allies.
“We will continue coordinating with Europe and other partners around the world. We count on achieving the necessary results, and I thank everyone who stands with Ukraine,” the head of state emphasized.
Negotiations with allies on a peace plan
Yesterday, November 23, discussions on a peace plan began in Geneva between representatives of the US, Ukraine, the UK, France, and Germany.
The final version will be agreed upon directly at a meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Trump.
According to Reuters, citing an American official, the preliminary talks appear to have been productive and even convincing. The official also said that they ended with agreements in some areas.
Zelenskyy has already made a statement following the results of the first negotiations in Geneva. Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov also commented, saying that the revised plan reflects most of Ukraine's priorities.
US President Donald Trump also commented on the progress of the negotiations today. According to him, something good may indeed happen.
