Presidents of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the US Donald Trump will finalize the peace plan on Ukraine during their meeting, according to Reuters.

US representatives say that the final details of a possible peace agreement on Ukraine are still being discussed, and the coordination will take place only after the leaders of the two countries meet.

According to an American official, the US administration hopes to agree on the final details of the document in order to prepare an agreement that will be beneficial for Ukraine.

"Nothing will be agreed until the two presidents meet," he said, referring to Trump and Zelenskyy.

US peace plan on Ukraine

The US has published a 28-point plan aimed at ending the war in Ukraine. The document, developed with the participation of American and Russian representatives, provides for Kyiv to transfer Donetsk region, Luhansk region, and parts of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions under Russia’s control. In exchange, security guarantees are offered, as well as provisions on reducing the size of the Ukrainian army and banning NATO membership.

US President Donald Trump demanded that Ukraine agree to this plan by November 27, threatening an escalation if it refused. At the same time, on November 22, he clarified that the text of the agreement is not final and may be changed.

According to Politico, if Kyiv refuses to sign the agreement, the country may lose access to American military and intelligence support.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy described the situation as a difficult choice between preserving national dignity and risking the loss of a key ally. He stressed that at the meeting scheduled for November 23 in Geneva, where representatives of Ukraine, the US, and the EU will gather, he will defend the interests of his country.

According to The Washington Post, European leaders have prepared their own counterproposals to Trump’s plan, which provide for restoring Ukraine’s control over strategic facilities and the absence of restrictions on the activities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
