Zelenskyy's Office ridicules Russian MoD's claims of repelling Sevastopol attack
The statements by the Russian Ministry of Defense regarding the interception of today's attack on Sevastopol are evidence of the deep-seated flaws within the Russian system, according to a statement by the Advisor to the head of the Office of the President, Mykhailo Podolyak.
"All rockets were intercepted by the Russian air defense system. However, the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet in Crimea was destroyed. There are no casualties as a result of the attack, but some military personnel have gone missing," wrote Mykhailo Podolyak.
In his words, the statements from the Russian Ministry of Defense serve as evidence of the deep-seated flaws within the Russian system. "No wonder, in this phantasmagorical country, even the Ministry of Defense is, in reality, the Ministry of Offense," Podolyak added.
What exactly was stated by the Russian Ministry of Defense
"Today, during the day, the 'Kyiv regime' carried out a missile strike on the city of Sevastopol," the statement reads.
It was also added that during the "repulsion" of the missile attack, five missiles were allegedly shot down by air defense means. However, the Russian Ministry of Defense acknowledged that the attack had damaged the building of the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet and that one occupant had gone missing after the attack.
Crimea will be demilitarized
Podolyak also declares that Putin's Russia is a kingdom of distorted mirrors and a bubble of long-gone myths that exist solely to exploit the fears of Western societies and their emotional memories of Cold War scaremongering, all while parasitizing on the Soviet brand.
"But reality is relentlessly moving forward. Crimea will be demilitarized and liberated. Trade ships will return to the Black Sea, and Russian military ships will eventually find their deserved place – they will become a cult underwater museum for divers, attracting tourists from all over the world. In a free Ukrainian Crimea," Podolyak wrote.
