In the Russian-occupied Crimea, explosions were heard once again. At the moment, it is known that there have been attacks on the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol, as well as on other parts of the peninsula.

During the preparation of the report, data from Telegram channels Crimean Wind, Emergency. Sevastopol, pages of the so-called governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev, and the "head of Crimea" Sergey Aksyonov were used.

Attack on the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet

In the first half of the day, the Russian-installed "governor" Mikhail Razvozhaev talked about a calm situation and announced planned exercises. Closer to 1:00 PM, the occupiers once again closed the Crimean Bridge and suspended maritime transport in Sevastopol for the second time that day. According to local sources, this was related to the possible approach of missiles or drones to the island.

Within minutes, there was information about the operation of air defense systems in Saky, in the garrison of Gvardeysk, over the Razdolnensky district, and near the Belbek aerodrome. It was also reported that a smoke screen had been hastily deployed over Sevastopol Bay.

Around 1:15 PM, explosions were heard in Sevastopol. It was reported that, in addition to the smoke screen over the bay, black smoke was rising in another location, as if it was an attack. Later, videos appeared showing the burning headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

Based on the photos, it appears that the building has been destroyed.

Local residents reported a "mad explosive wave." Fragments also fell near the Lunacharsky Theater on Nakhimov Avenue. Dozens of ambulances rushed through the city. Six casualties have been reported.

The occupation authorities confirmed the attack on the headquarters of the Russian fleet. It was also reported that an allegedly downed drone was found over Sevastopol Bay. The city's sirens were activated, and children from kindergartens and students were evacuated. As of 2:15 PM, rocket and aviation danger was canceled in Sevastopol, but residents were asked not to go to the city center. Roads were blocked, and the Russians were implementing a "series of special measures."

Crimean sources also speculated that the strike on the headquarters may have been caused by a Storm Shadow missile. The occupiers claim that civilian infrastructure around the fleet headquarters was not affected, and people on the streets were unharmed.

What else is known about the explosions in Crimea

Simultaneously, explosions were heard in other areas of the peninsula, including the Simferopol district, as well as near the villages of Pervomaiske and Krasnohvardiiske.

Additionally, according to some reports, a column of smoke is rising in Bakhchysarai near a military unit on Simferopolska Street, 2.

Meanwhile, the "head of Crimea," Sergey Aksyonov, assures that Russian air defense systems allegedly shot down all cruise missiles. Public sources report attacks in the area of the village of Poshtove, possibly near a military truck repair base.

Official statements

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation blamed Ukraine for the missile strike. It also said that five missiles were allegedly shot down during the attack.

"As a result of the attack, the historic building of the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet was damaged. According to the available information, one serviceman died," the message says.

The Ukrainian side has not yet commented on the events. Yurii Ihnat, the spokesman of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said that he could not comment on the strikes, but stated that the Russians were uneasy in Crimea.
