Zelenskyy's office responds on whether Ukraine fully restores cooperation with US

"Regarding the events concerning the suspension or cessation of military aid from the United States, it’s clear that this is an element of a somewhat strange political style for us, but the US wants to dominate in processes that they consider to be priorities for them," Podolyak explained.

According to the advisor, the United States views the end of the war in Ukraine as a priority issue in its foreign policy and wants to achieve quick results there.

"Can quick results be achieved? Most likely, no. But can we today say that full cooperation with the United States has been restored? Practically yes. We see statements that they are ready to continue working on the framework agreement regarding mineral resources," Podolyak noted.

Advisor to the Head of the Presidential Office mentioned that in the United States, there is a readiness to meet at various levels to discuss aspects of the negotiation process for resolving the war.

"That is, absolutely constructive work, everything was set up quickly. Although a week ago, many thought that relations were already broken and this would last a long time," Podolyak emphasized.

Pressure on Ukraine

The US has recently stopped sending military aid to Ukraine, which had been promised by the Biden administration. Furthermore, the US government has decided to halt the exchange of intelligence data with Ukraine.

According to US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, the decision regarding military aid is only a "pause." The aid will be resumed when there is a "real commitment to moving toward peace."

Meanwhile, the US Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg mentioned that the US is actively pressuring both Ukraine and Russia to bring them to the negotiating table.

At the same time, according to media reports, US officials want Ukraine to agree to a quick ceasefire with Russia. This is a condition for signing an agreement with the US on mineral resources.
