Zelenskyy: Russia's barrage of drones and bombs shows no desire for peace

Russia launched thousands of drones and bombs at Ukraine in a week, signaling that the enemy is not ready to end the war, says President Zelenskyy on Telegram.
"Hundreds of shellings of our cities and communities this week: Chernihiv, Kherson, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Poltava, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Sumy regions," said the president.
According to the head of state, the Russians launched more than 1,020 attack drones, nearly 1,360 guided aerial bombs, and over 10 missiles of various types during the week.
"That's not how those who want the war to end as soon as possible behave. Therefore, we must collectively put pressure on Russia to force them to end the aggression. Decisive actions are needed, including sanctions, which should not only be maintained but constantly strengthened," emphasized Zelenskyy.
The president added that a fair and lasting peace can be achieved together through the cooperation of Ukraine, Europe, and the US.
Night attack on Ukraine
On the night of March 16, Russian occupiers launched 90 drones at Ukraine. Air defense forces destroyed 47 of them. An additional 33 enemy drones — deceptive locators — were lost without causing negative consequences.
That night, the invaders struck Chernihiv with drones. One of the Shaheds hit a five-story building, destroying two floors and causing a fire. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
During a second attack on Chernihiv, patrol units came under enemy fire.
