Russian drone hits Chernihiv five-story building, fire breaks out

A Russian Shahed drone hit a five-story building in Chernihiv. As a result of the Russian attack, a fire broke out, reports the head of the Chernihiv City Military Administration, Dmytro Bryzhynskyi.
An explosion occurred in Chernihiv after a Russian Shahed drone struck a five-story building. The head of the Chernihiv Military Administration noted that information about the damage and the number of casualties is still being clarified.
According to Bryzhynskyi, a fire broke out at the site of the explosion, and emergency services began working promptly.
"There was a strike on a five-story building. A fire has been recorded at the explosion site," he emphasized.
Later, the head of the Chernihiv Military Administration reported that Shahed drone strikes had been recorded in two districts of the city.
"One Shahed hit a five-story building, and the other damaged several private homes," he explained.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine has released footage from the aftermath of the Russian attack on Chernihiv and provided an update on what is known at this moment.
"As a result of the strike, a fire broke out in a multi-story building, and two floors were partially destroyed. A strike in the private sector has also been recorded. All necessary services are working at the site. Information regarding casualties and victims is being clarified," the statement said.
Notably, last night, Russian forces attacked Chernihiv. As a result of the attack, a building was hit, and a car caught fire.
Overall, during the night of March 15, Russians launched two ballistic missiles and nearly 200 strike drones across Ukraine.
As of 8:30 AM (Kyiv time), air defense forces had shot down more than half of the enemy drones, while around 40 Russian drone imitators were lost in specific locations.
