Zelenskyy reveals vision for China's role in ending war with Russia

China must influence Russia to end this war. Beijing should not be a mediator, it should act, stated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview for the French media.
"If China wants to, it can force Russia to end this war. China is a powerful state," the President said.
Zelenskyy urged China to pressure Russia to end the war, which has been ongoing in Ukraine for two and a half years.
"I don't want it (China - ed.) to be a mediator; I want it to pressure Russia," the Ukrainian President said.
Recently, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba made a three-day visit to China. He arrived in Beijing at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
During the meeting, the ministers discussed Russia's war against Ukraine and bilateral relations between the countries.
