He also noted that there is a "large number of people whom Ukraine considers missing."
What figures Zelenskyy cited earlier
In February last year, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also provided data on Ukraine’s losses since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in an interview with NBC News.
According to him, the confirmed deaths of Ukrainian military personnel amounted to 46,000. Tens of thousands of other defenders are considered missing or are in captivity, so the final number of deaths could be higher.
In addition, according to the head of state, the number of wounded military personnel stands at 350,000.
The president also noted that the exact number of civilian deaths remains unknown, as Ukraine does not have access to the occupied territories.
By the way, Russian losses as of February 4 amount to approximately 1.24 million people. On February 3 alone, the Russians lost 780 of their soldiers. It is worth noting that this includes both killed and wounded.
Earlier, Bloomberg reported that such massive losses of the Russian army in the war against Ukraine could affect the course of peace negotiations.
