Zelenskyy reveals details of 'very positive' conversation with US leader's envoys

According to the president, the conversation with Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner was very positive.

Zelenskyy thanked them for the opportunity to work as actively as possible in the coming weeks in order to "give momentum to diplomacy aimed at ending Russia’s war against Ukraine."

As the Ukrainian head of state noted, Kyiv understands that much attention is currently focused on the situation around Iran. However, the goal of achieving peace in Europe remains on the agenda.

"We discussed prospects in the context of the G7 summit and other events in June. I informed them about the information we have regarding Moscow’s intentions," Zelenskyy clarified.

The president also thanked US officials for their words of respect for Ukrainians and their positive assessment of Ukraine’s positions.

Zelenskyy’s conversation with Trump’s envoys

News of a conversation between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US President’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and the American leader’s son-in-law Jared Kushner emerged around 10:00 p.m Kyiv time.

Adviser to the Ukrainian president Dmytro Lytvyn clarified that the call took place while Zelenskyy’s plane made a technical landing in Chișinău.

It is also expected that Witkoff and Kushner will visit Kyiv for the first time in the near future. However, the exact date of their visit has not yet been announced.
