Zelenskyy responds to Russian attack on Kyiv
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to Russia's attack on Kyiv on January 16 by promising a proper response, the Ukrainian news agency "Interfax-Ukraine" reports.
"We will also send our regards," said the President.
This was Zelensky's response to a question from a journalist regarding how the Russian drone attack, which occurred during his meeting with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Kyiv, was perceived.
For his part, Starmer noted that this attack is a reminder of what Ukraine faces daily and emphasized the need for continued support for Ukraine.
Russia's attack on Kyiv
Explosions sounded in Kyiv on January 16. At 12:08 p.m. Kyiv time, an air raid alert was declared in the capital and parts of other Ukrainian regions. The alert lasted for 20 minutes.
Later, the reports informed that drone debris fell in five districts of Kyiv: Solomianskyi, Dniprovskyi, Holosiivskyi, Darnytskyi, and Pecherskyi. Due to an attack, a car was damaged.
