On the night of July 19, Russia launched a massive combined attack on Ukrainian territory, using over 300 attack drones and more than 30 missiles of various types, according to a statement from President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine.

The strikes affected at least ten regions, resulting in casualties and injuries.

According to the president, the attack lasted throughout the night, and the interception of aerial targets is still ongoing — some drones remain in the sky.

According to him, rescue operations are ongoing following the attack.

"Donetsk, Kirovohrad, Dnipro, Sumy, Kherson, Volyn, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Zhytomyr regions were affected," the president reported.

In Sumy, critical infrastructure was damaged, leaving thousands of families without power. Combined strikes were reported in Shostka.

In Odesa, a missile hit a residential building, injuring at least six people, including a child. One person was killed.

In Pavlohrad, shelling damaged homes and important infrastructure facilities. Rescue services are working at the attack sites, and recovery efforts are underway.

Zelenskyy's reaction

The president thanked foreign partners for their support and emphasized that Ukraine urgently needs weapons, drones, and missiles for air defense systems, as well as the capacity to produce them domestically.

"Joint weapons production, investments in drone manufacturing in Ukraine, including interceptor drones, the provision of air defense systems and missiles for them, as well as the ability to produce these here in Ukraine — all of this saves lives and is needed right now," Zelenskyy stressed.
