Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is ready to meet with his American counterpart Donald Trump as soon as possible to finalize the peace plan aimed at ending the war. The meeting could take place as early as November 27, said Andriy Yermak, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, according to Axios.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wants to meet President Trump "as soon as possible" — possibly over Thanksgiving — to finalize a joint US-Ukrainian agreement on the terms to end the war, Yermak reported.

A meeting between the two leaders could add weight to Trump's peace plan and signal US support for it to Russia.

"I hope the visit of President Zelenskyy will take place as soon as possible, because ... it will help President Trump to continue his historical mission to end this war," Yermak said.

This year, Thanksgiving in the US falls on November 27. The American President plans to spend the holiday at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida and return to the White House on the evening of November 30.

What is known about Trump's peace plan

Recently, Western media published a draft of the US peace plan, which included 28 points. According to unofficial information, the document contained provisions that were seen as concessions to Russia.

Ukraine sent a delegation to Geneva to negotiate with US representatives and review the most controversial provisions of the plan.

After consultations, adviser to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Oleksandr Bevz stated that some points had been removed from the draft, while others were adjusted.

On November 24, the Financial Times reported that the US peace plan had been cut by almost a third, leaving 19 points instead of the original 28.

Today, November 25, White House press secretary Karoline Levitt said that the US had brought both Ukraine and Russia to the peace talks.
