Zelenskyy reacts to Russian attacks on Lviv and Kryvyi Rih
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to the Russian shelling of Lviv and Kryvyi Rih on the night of September 4. He emphasizes that Russian terror must be stopped.
7 people died in Lviv as a result of the attack. A 14-year-old girl was among the victims.
"My condolences to the families and friends of the victims. More than 30 people were injured. Ordinary residential buildings in the city, schools, and medical institutions were damaged," the President writes.
5 people were injured in the Russian attack against Kryvyi Rih. There is destruction of houses and civilian infrastructure.
"Our services are working on the ground and doing everything necessary to eliminate the consequences of the attack. All the wounded are being provided with the necessary assistance," the President adds.
Zelenskyy stressed that each of our partners in the world who help Ukraine with air defense is a real defender of life.
"And everyone who convinces partners to give Ukraine more range to respond to terror fairly is working to prevent exactly such Russian terrorist strikes on Ukrainian cities. Terror must be stopped," the President of Ukraine says.
Russian night attack on Ukraine
On the night of 4 September, Russia attacked Ukraine with missiles and drones. The invaders took Tu-22M3 and MiG-31K aircraft into the sky, and the Russians also launched Shahideen.
Russia attacked 2 districts of Lviv. As a result of the attack, houses were damaged, and the rubble is still being cleared. Most of the damaged buildings are historical heritage.
As of 9:20 a.m., 7 people have been reported killed in Lviv, including 3 children. More than 35 people were injured. Read more about the aftermath of the strike in Lviv in RBC-Ukraine's report.
The Russians also attacked the city of Kryvyi Rih. A hotel was damaged there, with the first to fifth floors destroyed. Five people were injured.
