Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made a statement on Telegram about the nighttime drone attack on Kyiv on the night of March 23. As a result of the attack, three people were killed.

During the night, Russia launched nearly 150 strike drones at Ukraine. In Kyiv, three people were killed, including a father and his five-year-old daughter. Ten people were reported injured, including a child.

Additionally, on the previous day, three people were killed in Zaporizhzhia. A whole family died: the father, mother, and their 17-year-old daughter. Zelenskyy expressed condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims.

As the president noted, Russia has launched more than 1,580 guided aviation bombs, nearly 1,100 strike drones, and 15 different types of missiles at Ukraine this week. According to Zelenskyy, at least 102,000 foreign components are present in this weaponry.

The president stated that sanctions against Russia must be more effective, and every scheme that allows them to bypass the sanctions regime must be eliminated.

"We need new solutions, new pressure on Moscow, to stop these strikes and this war. We must strengthen Ukraine and our army – more air defense and real assistance. I thank all partners who understand this and continue to support Ukraine," Zelenskyy added.

Attack on Kyiv

On the night of March 23, the Russian army launched 147 drones at Ukraine. Air defense destroyed 97 drones. 25 enemy imitation drones were lost without negative consequences.

According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy used a larger number of strike drones that night, at least 122 units.

Kyiv was under attack that night. In the capital, debris fell in several districts, causing fires in buildings.

As a result of the enemy attack, three people were killed – a father and his 5-year-old daughter in the Holosiivskyi district, and an 80-year-old woman in the Dniprovskyi district of the capital. Ten others were injured.
