Zelenskyy: Putin will stop war, we have plan

Russian leader Vladimir Putin does not want to stop the war against Ukraine, but he will be forced to do so. A plan has been developed to achieve this, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during the Ukrainian Youth Forum.
Zelenskyy on the plan to end the war
Zelenskyy said that all the necessary steps have been carefully calculated.
"We understand what we need to do. This is a joint plan with our partners on how to put pressure on him (Putin — ed.)," the president said.
According to Zelenskyy, the Ukrainian Defense Forces must hold the frontline under any circumstances.
"This allows the president to conduct strong dialogue with the enemy," he said.
If the situation on the battlefield is not strong enough, dialogue turns into excessive compromises, which are not in Ukraine’s interests, the president believes.
Ukraine’s strategy
Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine’s main strategy at the moment is to counter Putin’s strategy.
He also recalled that the Russian leader plans to increase mobilization and bring as many people as possible into the army.
Therefore, Zelenskyy called on Ukraine’s international partners to scale up their support, particularly in the field of air defense. Among the tasks of the Defense Forces, he also mentioned retaliatory strikes.
"We need to bring the war to Russian territory. After that, Russian society will feel the consequences of this war and put pressure on the authorities," the president concluded.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that Ukraine had submitted proposals to the United States on further steps aimed at increasing pressure on Russia and helping bring the war to an end.
It was also reported that Russia has begun using North Korean ballistic missiles more actively in its attacks on Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this.
In addition, according to Zelenskyy, the number of people in Russia who support ending the war against Ukraine is growing. According to internal polling data, these sentiments are becoming increasingly noticeable.
